The People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond is doing an undoing racism training for women of color

If you’re in NYC on March 31 and April 1, the People’s Institute will be doing an undoing racism workshop just for women of color. If there is any way you can attend, this is the one to go to. It’s a transformative experience you will never forget.

  • PLACE: Fordham University, Bronx Campus entrance Fordham Road and 3rd Avenue
  • Time: Saturday 9AM -7PM
  • Sunday 9AM - 5PM
  • Requested Donation is $75.00 (this is less than 1/3 of the usual amount)

"[…] I learned a lot of my community organizing from trial and error. I did things that I thought were right and I made a lot of mistakes. […] I didn’t use strategies. I just did what I thought was right. I didn’t strategize, I got mad. […] I didn’t understand the difference between a strategy and a tactic. I was doing tactics first and planning later. […] I had no right as an organizer to be organizing because I was mad. Of course, I was mad about what was going on. I had a right to be angry because that’s my community and these are my people. But I can’t be organizing without involving people in this process. […] I had people following me, but that’s all they were doing. […] In a sense, that’s like using people. […]"
